So Singaporean, what do you think about the $100 casino levy at Resorts World Sentosa?
Personally, I think that this is a great idea.
Beside having more income for the government (hopefully with these additaional income, the government can lower the cost of living in Singapore), I beleive the greatest benefit is to deter casual Singaporean from entering the Casino. Ones never know if you will get "addicted" if you can access it too easily. As for those that have already addicted, $100 definely does not mean a lot to them. Hopefully, it can keep them from entering the casino too often when they have less money. Before the RWS Casino, there is already weekend curise and Genting where these people can access. Hmmm, I wonder will these weekend curise's businss get "hit" heavily :(
Anyway, I wish all Singaporean a Happy Chiness New Year.
And if possible, try to limit your visit to the casino. As I mention, you never know if you will be addicted, so why risk.
